Corrective Emotional Experience: The Healing Power That AI Cannot Replicate

矯正性情緒經驗:AI 無法複製的療癒力量

Dr. Ting Liu 劉婷博士

ICEEFT Certified EFT Supervisor/Trainer; Asia Founder of Asia Center for EFT

ICEEFT認證EFT督導/訓練員,亞洲EFT中心創始人

Abstract: This keynote explores the core mechanism of change in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), the corrective emotional experience, and consider why AI cannot replicate this essential healing process. The speech also contrasts AI’s logical, algorithmic processing with the nature of human emotional experience, highlighting that genuine healing depends on safety within the therapeutic relationship, real-time emotional attunement, and experiential transformation. Drawing on EFT clinical examples and findings from neuroscience, the keynote argues that in deep emotional work, the therapist’s empathy, presence, and professional judgment remain irreplaceable.
